With the triumph, Miller County improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Pirates travel to Baconton Charter (Baconton, GA) to play the Blazers in a 1A D-II Region 1 game on Monday, August 4. The Blazers enter the game with a record of 0-0. Baconton Charter 0-0 in their recent non-league game against Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA)

The Wildcats now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Westover for a non-league game on Saturday, August 2.
