In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Maple Mountain Golden Eagles soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Mountain Ridge Sentinels.
The Golden Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Wasatch (Heber City, UT). The Wasps come into the 5A Region 7 battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Wasatch was nudged by Mountain View (Orem, UT), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
The Sentinels (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Bingham (South Jordan, UT). The Miners come into the 6A Region 2 battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Bingham nudged Farmington (Farmington, UT), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
