Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Brooks County Trojans (Quitman, GA), 21-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Rebels now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Wheeler County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 15.

With the loss, Brooks County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to battle the Indians in a 1A D-I Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, August 15. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Irwin County won 17-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA)
