The Long Beach Bearcats volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting East Central Hornets to 0 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bearcats now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Martin for a non-league game on Tuesday, August 15.
The Hornets (1-5) will now prepare for their game against George County (Lucedale, MS). The Rebels enter the Class 5 Region 8 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, George County defeated D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
