The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) and the host Swainsboro Tigers (Swainsboro, GA), observed Briarwood Academy's softball team get by Swainsboro by a tally of 3-2.
The Buccaneers (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Burke County was nipped by Washington County (Sandersville, GA), 9-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, August 12. Swainsboro will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record.
