Etowah Eagles (Woodstock, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Forsyth Wolverines (Cumming, GA), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sequoyah for a challenge on Thursday, September 1.

With the loss, West Forsyth falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Collins Hill (Suwanee, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league contest on Wednesday, August 17. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
