In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Trion Bulldogs volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Gordon Central Warriors.
The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Coosa (Rome, GA). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Coosa was edged by Pepperell (Lindale, GA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Warriors clash with the Temple Tigers (Temple, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, August 16. Gordon Central will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 0-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Woodland (Cartersville, GA).
