In Friday's non-league contest, the Blanchard Lions (Blanchard, OK) softball team held off the visiting Southmoore SaberCats (Moore, OK), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Blanchard moves its record to 6-10 on the year. The Lions travel to McLoud (McLoud, OK) to play the Redskins in a 4A District 4 contest on Monday, August 14. The Redskins come into the contest with a record of 2-1. McLoud won 9-0 in their recent non-league test against Okemah (Okemah, OK)
The SaberCats (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Cache (Cache, OK). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Cache edged Oologah (Oologah, OK), 6-0, in a non-league test.
