The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX) and the host Akins Eagles (Austin, TX), saw Parkland's volleyball squad beat Akins by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Parkland upgrades its record to 2-4 on the year. The Matadors travel to Marshall (San Antonio, TX) to play the Rams in a non-league bout on Friday, August 11. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Marshall lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against El Paso (El Paso, TX)
