In Friday's non-league contest, the Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) volleyball squad nudged the host Banquete Bulldogs (Banquete, TX), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Lobos face the Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 11. Palmview will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Sandcrabs go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX).

With the loss, Banquete moves to 0-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Sam Houston (Arlington, TX) to face the Texans in a non-league contest on Saturday, August 12. The Texans go into the contest with a record of 1-2. Sam Houston lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Sinton (Sinton, TX)
