The Bastrop Bears held off the host Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bears now have a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rivera for a non-league test on Friday, August 11. Bastrop will confront a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Harlingen South (Harlingen, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 2-2.

The Wolverines (0-5) will now prepare for their test against Rio Hondo (Rio Hondo, TX). The Bobcats enter the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Rio Hondo held off IDEA Edinburg College Prep (Edinburg, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
