The Lamar Vikings (Arlington, TX) volleyball overcame the host Northeast Early College Raiders (Austin, TX), 2-0 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Lamar upgrades its record to 5-2 on the year. The Vikings travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Friday, August 11. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a record of 0-1.

The Raiders now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Concordia for a non-league outing on Monday, August 14. Northeast Early College will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Florence (Florence, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.
