The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX) and the visiting Sotomayor WILDCATS (San Antonio, TX), saw Smithson Valley's volleyball squad beat Sotomayor by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Smithson Valley upgrades its record to 3-2 on the year. The Rangers travel to Judson (Converse, TX) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Friday, August 11. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Judson lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Hays (Buda, TX)

The WILDCATS now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fredericksburg for a non-league bout on Friday, August 11. Sotomayor will play a Billies squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Billies record now stands at 0-2.
