Muhlenberg County Mustangs (Greenville, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY), 8-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Muhlenberg County moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Ohio County (Hartford, KY) to clash with the Eagles in a District 10 test on Tuesday, August 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Bears now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Russellville for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 14. Butler County will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
