In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Concord Spiders volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Central Cabarrus Vikings.
The Spiders (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Vikings meet the North Mecklenburg Vikings (Huntersville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 14. Central Cabarrus will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC).
