Westminster Wildcats (Atlanta, GA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad topple the host Woodward Academy War Eagles (College Park, GA), 16-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Westminster improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Centennial (Roswell, GA) to battle the Knights in a 4A Region 6 match on Thursday, August 14. The Knights come into the match with a record of 2-2. Centennial lost 11-0 in their recent league match against Cambridge (Milton, GA)

In their next game, the War Eagles battle the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions (Atlanta, GA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, August 13. Woodward Academy will attempt to better on its 0-4 season record. The Golden Lions enter the game with a 1-1 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA).
