With the win, Memorial improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Henrietta (Henrietta, TX) to meet the Bearcats in a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 19. The Bearcats enter the contest with a record of 0-1.
Next, the Westerners meet the Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) in a non-league test, on Thursday, August 14. Lubbock will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Broncos go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Centennial (Frisco, TX).
