The Nanakuli Golden Hawks football team (Waianae, HI), was beaten 16-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Maui Sabers (Kahului, HI)
The Sabers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lahainaluna (Lahaina, HI). The Lunas come into the Maui challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Lahainaluna achieved victory over Hilo (Hilo, HI), 28-20, in a non-league challenge.
The Golden Hawks now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Waialua for a OIA II challenge on Saturday, August 20. Nanakuli will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 42-7 non-league loss to Farrington (Honolulu, HI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
