Greeley Central Wildcats (Greeley, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Skyview Wolverines (Thornton, CO), 23-11 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Creek for a 4A NCAA challenge on Monday, August 15. Greeley Central will battle a Raptors squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Longmont (Longmont, CO). The Raptors record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Skyview falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Weld Central (Keenesburg, CO) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 16. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
