In Friday's non-league battle, the host Brewer Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hawley Bearcats.
The Bears (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Wylie lost by Holliday (Holliday, TX), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Bearcats clash with the Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 13. Hawley will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX).
