In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting Kaufman Lions volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Rio Vista Eagles.
The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Medina Valley (Castroville, TX). The Panthers come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Medina Valley was edged by La Vernia (La Vernia, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
