In Friday's non-league battle, the host Sherman Bearcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Ranchview Wolves.

The Bearcats (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Ferris (Ferris, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Ferris lost by Palmer (Palmer, TX), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
