Georgia High School Softball - Pope holds off South Forsyth

Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Forsyth War Eagles (Cumming, GA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Greyhounds now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lassiter for a 6A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, August 15. Pope will battle a Trojans squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over North Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, South Forsyth falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The War eagles travel to Creekview (Canton, GA) to battle the Grizzlies in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 17. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 1-1.
