With the win, Little Cypress-Mauriceville upgrades its record to 7-1 on the year. The Bears travel to White Oak (White Oak, TX) to play the Roughnecks in a non-league test on Thursday, August 17. The Roughnecks enter the test with a record of 4-4.

The Trojans (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Colmesneil (Colmesneil, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Colmesneil was knocked off by West Hardin (Saratoga, TX), 3-0, in a non-league test.
