The Pioneers (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Hickory (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record.

Next, the Blackhawks face the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, August 14. West Wilkes will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings go into the test with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC).
