With the triumph, Powell County moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Pirates host Wolfe County (Campton, KY) to confront the Wolves in a District 54 outing on Thursday, August 14. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Golden Eagles now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boyd County for a non-league test on Thursday, August 14. Johnson Central will clash with a Lions team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Lions record now stands at 1-1.
