In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Burton Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Giddings Buffaloes.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Iola (Iola, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.

The Buffaloes now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Iola for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 12.
