Match Summary
Temple Wildcats stepped onto their home court for the first time this season in their season opener. It is always import to get the first game out of the way, but even sweeter when it is the first win of the season. The Wildcats embraced the challenge of the night as they faced Gatesville in a non-district battle. Temple battled hard in a 3 set thriller as Gatesville was never out of reach in all three sets making a late surge late in game them and forcing the Wildcats to push their limits as a team. Credit the Wildcat players on and off the court as they played and for each other and cheered even louder for their teammates. It was an exceptional night that had it all, big kills from the Temple hitters Kendall Tate, Kylie Dixon and Willow Pratt to name a few, timely serves as the wildcats put Gatesville on their heels and tenacious digs by Kylie Rayas and our other DS players with gave us the opportunity to put Gatesville away in three sets. Temple will head to Denton on Thursday.
