Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) and the visiting Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX), observed Iola's volleyball team top Giddings by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Madisonville (Madisonville, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Madisonville achieved victory over Franklin (Franklin, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Buffaloes now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rock Hill for a non-league battle on Thursday, August 14. Giddings will meet a Blue Hawks team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Frisco (Frisco, TX). The Blue Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
