In Tuesday's non-league match, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the host Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Spartans battle the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 15. Sun Valley will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).

With the loss, Mallard Creek drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Myers Park (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 14. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
