The Pope Greyhounds softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Westminster Wildcats to 3 in the Greyhounds non-league win on Saturday.

Coming up next, the Greyhounds encounter the Lassiter Trojans (Marietta, GA) in a 6A Region 7 test, on Tuesday, August 16. Pope will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Trojans enter the test with a 3-0 record after their 17-7 non-league win over East Forsyth (Gainesville, GA).

The Wildcats (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 0-0 record. In their last test, Stone Mountain Towers (Decatur, GA), 13-13, in a non-league test.
