The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) soccer overwhelmed the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 5-0 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Gryphons now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 15.

With the loss, Swain County moves to 0-1 on the year. The Maroon devils host East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 14. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
