The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Bulloch Academy Gators (Statesboro, GA) and the visiting Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA), observed Bulloch Academy's softball team get by Briarwood Academy by a tally of 8-1.

The Gators (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The War Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Jenkins County was routed by Screven County (Sylvania, GA), 15-1, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Brentwood War Eagles (Sandersville, GA) in a GIAA Class A & AA District 4 outing, on Thursday, August 15. Briarwood Academy will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The War Eagles come into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 12-5 non-league win over Lake Oconee Academy (Greensboro, GA).
