North Carolina High School Volleyball - Swain County over Tuscola

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) and the visiting Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC), observed Swain County's volleyball team top Tuscola by a count of 3-1.

The Maroon Devils (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hiwassee Dam (Murphy, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Hiwassee Dam was knocked off by Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mountaineers battle the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 15. Tuscola will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Owen (Black Mountain, NC).
