California High School Flag Football - Crean Lutheran can't hold off Capistrano Valley

August 13, 2025: Irvine, CA 92618

Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA) fans exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their flag football team tip the host Crean Lutheran Saints (Irvine, CA), 12-6 in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Orange Panthers (Orange, CA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, August 19. Capistrano Valley will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

With the defeat, Crean Lutheran drops to 3-1 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Fullerton (Fullerton, CA) to meet the Indians in a non-league test on Thursday, August 14. The Indians come into the test with a record of 0-0.

Crean moved the ball effectively down the field and scored. The next time Crean got the ball, the Capo linebacker Bristol Every intercepted the pass and ran 40 yards for a touchdown to tie the score.
