In Wednesday's non-league outing, the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers.
The Pirates (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Richmond Senior was edged by Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Buccaneers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Forsyth Country Day for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 19. Charlotte Country Day School will play a Furies squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Furies record now stands at 0-2.
