In Wednesday's non-league test, the Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) softball squad got by the visiting Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA), by a tally of 5-4.
Next, the Pirates encounter the Seminole County Indians (Donalsonville, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 1 outing, on Monday, August 18. Miller County will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record.
With the loss, Cairo drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Syrupmakers travel to Westover (Albany, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a 3A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, August 19. The Patriots enter the contest with a record of 2-2.
