The Tift County Blue Devils softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets to 3 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Wednesday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee County for a non-league battle on Saturday, August 16. Tift County will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Lowndes (Valdosta, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-1.
The Yellow Jackets (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA). The Packers go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Colquitt County was routed by Cook (Adel, GA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
