In Monday's non-league battle, the host Rockingham County Cougars volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Williams Bulldogs.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Reidsville (Reidsville, NC). The Rams come into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Bulldogs encounter the River Mill Jaguars (Graham, NC) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 18. Williams will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Jaguars come into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC).
