Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC) and the host East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC), saw Palisades's soccer squad hold off East Mecklenburg by a count of 2-1.

The Pumas (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Butler was edged by Cox Mill (Concord, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Berry Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 19. East Mecklenburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
