North Carolina High School Volleyball - Northwest Guilford tips Cornerstone Charter

The Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) volleyball held off the visiting Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC), 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Vikings now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to McMichael for a non-league bout on Monday, August 19. Northwest Guilford will clash with a Phoenix team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Phoenix record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Cornerstone Charter drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Bethany (Summerfield, NC) to clash with the Wolves in a Northwest Piedmont 1A bout on Thursday, August 15. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Bethany lost 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
