The Hemet Bulldogs volleyball squad (Hemet, CA), dropped 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Redlands Terriers (Redlands, CA)
With the win, Redlands improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Terriers travel to Aquinas (San Bernardino, CA) to encounter the Falcons in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 17. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Bulldogs now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Liberty for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 20. Hemet will encounter a Bison squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Vista del Lago (Moreno Valley, CA). The Bison record now stands at 5-2.
Match Summary
Visiting Hemet made a valiant effort in a very hot Terrier Gym. Before the game, Athletic Director Eric Memory apologized to the crowd regarding the heat. However, he said that the game was free to fans.
Redlands was able to win in straight sets, 25-10, 25-19, 25-10. The Terrier serving was mostly great with many aces by Saniyah Sobers, Ava Reyes, Eva Larrondo and others. The middles played well, and all five setters (Lauren Reiter, Natallia Carravia, Sofia Farrohki and Ella Namsang (playing DS) were able to get some court time.
This was the second of a home and home series versus Hemet. Last year, Redlands began their non-tournament schedule, defeating Hemet at their home gym, 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.
