Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Garrard County Golden Lions (Lancaster, KY) and the host Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY), saw Garrard County's soccer squad knock off Wayne County by a score of 3-0.

The Golden Lions (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pulaski County (Somerset, KY). The Maroons enter the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Pulaski County tipped South Laurel (London, KY), 5-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Cardinals confront the Clinton County Bulldogs (Albany, KY) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 18. Wayne County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
