Bonita Bearcats (La Verne, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting West Covina Bulldogs (West Covina, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Western Christian (Upland, CA). The Fighting Lancers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Western Christian beat Trinity Classical Academy (Valencia, CA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Indian Springs COYOTES (San Bernardino, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 16. West Covina will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The COYOTES go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Vista del Lago (Moreno Valley, CA).
