In Thursday's non-league contest, the T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC) soccer team edged the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), by a count of 3-2.

Next, the Rams battle the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 18. T.C. Roberson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Red Tornadoes enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

The Golden Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Huss (Gastonia, NC). The Huskies come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Huss nipped West Iredell (Statesville, NC), 2-1, in a non-league match.
