The Academy for Classical Education Gryphons softball squad (Macon, GA), was routed 8-0 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA)

With the triumph, Taylor County improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Vikings host Camden County (Kingsland, GA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 16. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Camden County won 9-8 in their recent non-league match against Ware County (Waycross, GA)

In their next game, the Gryphons battle the Dodge County Indians (Eastman, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 match, on Tuesday, August 19. Academy for Classical Education will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Indians go into the match with a 0-4 record after their 4-2 non-league loss to Ware County (Waycross, GA).
