The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Blackwell Maroons (Blackwell, OK) and the visiting Sapulpa Chieftains (Sapulpa, OK), observed Blackwell's softball team get by Sapulpa by a tally of 4-3.

The Maroons (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Muskogee (Muskogee, OK). The Roughers enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Muskogee was edged by Piedmont (Piedmont, OK), 13-5, in a non-league contest.

The Chieftains now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Cleveland for a non-league bout on Friday, August 15. Sapulpa will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Stroud (Stroud, OK). The Tigers record now stands at 2-0.
