The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Davenport (Davenport, OK). The Bulldogs go into the Class A bout with a 3-1 record.
In their next game, the Whippets battle the Mason Eagles (Mason, OK) in a Class B bout, on Monday, August 18. Varnum will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 3-0 record after their 19-0 league win over Butner (Cromwell, OK).
