In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Mountain View-Gotebo Tigers softball squad scored a close 5-3 triumph over the Howe Lions.

With the triumph, Mountain View-Gotebo improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to Hammon (Hammon, OK) to play the Warriors in a non-league game on Monday, August 25. The Warriors enter the game with a record of 1-6.

The Lions now hold a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Clinton for a non-league match on Friday, August 15. Howe will battle a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 15-7 non-league loss to Altus (Altus, OK). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 0-1.
