The Welch Wildcats softball squad (Welch, OK), was routed 13-0 in Thursday's league contest with the host Porter Pirates (Porter, OK)

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Foyil Panthers (Foyil, OK) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 16. Welch will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 20-2 non-league loss to Chelsea (Chelsea, OK).
